It was only a total of nine months from Tyler's diagnosis of malignant melanoma to his death on November 2, 2010. Tyler's sister, Ashley Swip decided that 28 year old Tyler needed to have one more great day doing the things that he loved. While Tyler was still able to walk, she talked to the St. Louis Cardinal organization and had the perfect day made for him. Ashley realized that it was necessary for other families battling cancer to be able to experience a wish. Inspired by Tyler, Ashley started 3 Little Birds 4 Life in his honor. Today, 3 Little Birds 4 Life's Mission is to grant wishes for young adults (18-40) with a cancer diagnosis.
